‘Llandilo’ was built in c.1878 for Dr [later Sir] Phillip Sydney Jones, a prominent surgeon knighted for his services to medicine and Vice-Chancellor of Sydney University 1904-06.

‘Llandilo’ remained a private home until Dr Jones’ death in 1918.  ‘Llandilo’ was then acquired by Rev. Wheaton and became the Strathfield Grammar School, later purchased in 1926 by Trinity Grammar School and is the location of Trinity Grammar Preparatory School.
